I'm pretty sure my wife has beach plans once my daughter gets out of kindergarten.

We were 97 yesterday! And the day before and the two days before that. Give or take a degree. Saturday was the hottest kickoff they have ever had at a home Clemson football game. It was 96f in death valley at the 3:30 kickoff time.

And that's why I live in New England, not down south.

If I had my way I'd winter here, and head to northern Alaska for the summers.

My brother moved to Minnesota and I can't believe the temps he is telling me it is up there. I look it up and the lows are freezing to me in summer. Many of the days up there this summer I would be walking around in a sweatshirt!!

That was supposed to be radishes and there are some in there. The rest is sorghum. The fruit you see is thorn apple. You probably remember we have lots of that here.

Hope the hunting is good for you this year.

Wow. What a day! But I'm sure it is an honor for you to do the memorial service for a veteran and a friend.

Sunny and 67 with a good breeze. Virtually no humidity. Perfect fall day to watch the leaves coming down.

The day started out with a doctor appointment. Between the wait and the doctor, 1 1/2 hours later I am out of there. I hate going to him.
Hot and humid here so no wood working got done.
My truck has been down since the first of the year. I have 2 other vehicles so there wasn't much incentive to fix it. It has a ground in it somewhere so I thought.
I had charged the battery a couple of weeks ago and disconnected the negative terminal. I hooked an ammeter up to it and started pulling fuses. It originally read .67 amps. It gradually went down to .16. I then measured the voltage across the battery. 10.3 volts. Took out another meter to verify the first one. Same thing. Fully charged battery dropping voltage while disconnected? Kind of sounds like an internal short in the battery.
I put the charger back on and will measure voltage when it is charged. Disconnect the battery and measure again in a couple of weeks.
The battery is just shy of being a year old. I hate dealing with the parts store over batteries if their meter says it is good.

I bet their tester will show that one is bad...get it checked before it's birthday...they'll probably give you a new one...

Hope so. Maybe pull the battery when it gets charged, let them test it and if they say it is ok then proceed with my test.
I had a battery in my car that was bad. Their meter said it was ok. After much discussion I bought a new battery anyways and guess what? No more problems.

Bad New batteries are not uncommon. I worked at a parts store. There more than you would think. I have had an OE Toyota Panasonic battery go bad in a few months.

Uggg! Raining outside. We haven't had much rain lately so it is hard to go from soft mist to hard rain and enjoy the walk. Slept in instead. It has been a busy week already so I am looking forward to the weekend.
