My little fella will be 2 on Friday and he is completely infatuated with tractors and chainsaws. Loves to watch Outdoors with the Morgans, Tractor Time with Tim and Lumnah Acres. So mama and I got him his first tractor and his own chainsaw... I'm thinking I should have bought him a 14 foot dump trailer lol I am happy to be raising a boy that I have to drag back inside kicking and screaming every night lol
Excellent. AND KEEP HIM OUTSIDE!!! LOL, just kiddin. Too many couch cushions these days. Maybe it differs by geographic location but I was just commenting with a group of people. It’s a rarity to see kids playing outside these days. You just don’t ever see children outside.
Im 37 years old and exhausted after work and my hour drive home, but there is no place Id rather be than at home, outside playing with him. My daughter is 14 years old and just started high school, so we came up with a new hobby this summer.... digging holes around our property for trees that we might want to plant at some point in the future. also my wood boiler is big enough to hold a few meat bags ahem future fertilizers. She loves to be outside as well
That is as cute as can be. You should bring him to gtg and him and Brody ( brenndatomu son) could have a saw off.
I like it!! First daughter is 18 and just moved to college, #2 is 2.5 and just about able to pick up and move a normal sized split on her own. I figure I've got two more years of stacking "alone" before she's a viable helper to replace what her older sister used to do. She's got some big shoes to fill; #1 could put in a heck of a good day's work before she got too busy with school, sports, and a boyfriend (future forester/park ranger, good kid. Their dates usually consist of hiking local trails) to help much. For now, the little one has been helping me build woodsheds. She's very good at handing me tools and hardware, and she loves it! Got a boy on deck too, who I'm sure will be a big help soon!
Thats great overactor ! When i was a kid, i loved the sound of chain saws (still do) and wood chippers. I would run to the window and look for them. I couldnt wait for dad to use his saw. When i was old enough i had a little buck saw i would trim the branches with. Many fond memories of cutting with dad and my uncle.
This part is great - ours gets mighty cagey if she doesn't get a few hours outdoors in the afternoon. Dinner can't come late enough! After work, she does like to relax...
Sure is a cute little fella! Hope he has a happy birthday. I know if I got a new Husky I sure would! Lol.
Thank you all for the wonderful comments. Also for the photos of your littles. I am lucky! I was actually going to go to the Ohio GTG as I am only about 45 minutes from there near Heath Ohio, but Ill be in new Jersey for The Race of Gentlemen. That's also my anniversary weekend. Getting to go watch old motorcycles and hot rods drag race down the beach was hard enough but dragging my wife out to cut firewood and have a great time wouldn't fly as an anniversary trip lol
Wonderful pictures all! Safety glasses and hearing muffs to get them used to them early. Each grandkid has their own safety glasses in a cabinet in the woodshop. Also can get child sized from Amazon and they do make a difference in comfort and fit.
