Snert is just a Dutch split pea soup with
    Sausage,potatoes, ham,onion,bacon,garlic, carrots and celery.

My version of Clapshot is 1/3 ea. of potatoes, turnips and parsnips boiled then mashed with butter and a little nutmeg.

Yeah, but that does look tasty, and I don't even like pea soup.

No, this was the first attempt at making them. They were awesome. We used a baguette and chicken, but otherwise just like the recipes show. Great flavor, nice texture with the veggies, and the rice wine vinegar and sugar.

    It's a keeper.

    She is too:)

Nice jobs by the Mrs. I'm a fan of pea soup, and this looks hearty.

We had banh mi sandwiches again tonight.

Here's mine moments before I inhaled it. IMG_20151220_174932234.jpg

It's really amazing. Sliced jalapeƱos, with onions, carrots, and radishes marinated in rice wine vinegar, sugar and water, the chicken, sliced cucumber, cilantro. And fresh lime juice squeezed over the open faced sandwich. Toasted baguette with a light cost of mayo. So tasty!
