Saw this a few hours ago and immediately snatched it up. They were asking $100 and I didn't even bother negotiating. The owner helped me load it up. My garage before (I know, I know, it's a work in progress): And after: But now at least I have a decent space to work on my 034 rebuild!! The top was separated from the bottom which made it way easier to transport. Long bed Tacoma ftw. Strapped it down with 2 ratchet straps and coasted home. Took it off the truck myself but had a friend help me move the tabletop onto the frame.
Nice score. We have one as our kitchen island. Doesn't have the drawers. Carpenter's bench This is before we cleaned it up.
Thanks. It got me super motivated to clean up so here's the after pic. I'm going to build a bike rack for the 3 bikes out of a pallet today. The 3-bike cover should arrive today as well. I need space to work! I've since cleaned off the top of the bench as you can see in the 2nd pic and I still have to go through all the small stuff and throw more junk away.
The place is looking good! Just think, if you would go out and buy more stuff, how motivated you would be!
If I could like this twice I would! Nice kitchen with a fireplace , indoor cooking on wood. OK , now I am jealous. I keep telling the wife that when we remodel that is without a doubt going to be part of it. There was a cooking show on where they did everything in a fireplace over wood , every time I saw it my tongue would be hanging out,
Nothing wrong with that. At least you are walking and moving ahead while doing so. It's amazing how stuff piles up quicker than it goes away.
LordOfTheFlies you did well for $100.00. Today I saw a work bench in an antique store. Maybe 4x5, no drawers. Asking $1,190.00
Thanks! Thanks! I really felt like I hit the jackpot. It is exactly what I needed and fate just worked out for me. I peruse FBMP more often than I should....and most of the time I'm focusing on the free stuff......but sometimes it pays off!
Thanks. It's a slow process but it's already paying dividends. Need to try real hard to put things away instead of just tossing them aside.
Things have a way of slowly piling up on my welding bench also. Followed by cataclysmic cleanups. Its a cyclic thing!
I’ve considered just tarping off my work areas (like curtains) sometimes when company comes over. But I always end up saying “F it.” Problem solved.
I tell my wife that my family and good friends know my habits. Everyone else who doesnt like them, well, can go pound sand. The condition other people's garages, barns, sheds are in, I could care less. The only time I will comment is when they are freakishly organized.
