What type of weather is coming your way? We could have about five inches of snow with some sleet and ice here in our area.
Sunny, mid twenties, with a calm breeze. We're getting snow right now that we weren't supposed to get though. Its just a dusting so no biggie, but who knows what could blow in. You can have the snow and sleet. I'll survive somehow.
Going to split and stack some oak and elm I bucked up on Saturday. Theres a big elm that fell in a neighbors yard that they cut and threw in a vacant lot I am going to get to.
I went for a too cold walk (temps drop in that pre-dawn/dawn twilight) and counted my fingers after I gave the neighborhood german shepard a dog treat! Plan on more basement floor painting today. Spent a lot of yesterday painting everything dark brown...not just the repairs. Near bed time, 99 informed me that all the grey will be having a fresh coat also. I have to admit, it sure does look nicer though!
I'm in the shop sharpening & cleaning saws after yesterdays Elm adventure, gotta be ready for the next one.
I was gonna work on firewood this weekend, but given the potential for snow, it looks like I'll be loading the wood bin today, maybe do a little cutting on the locust pile for therapy.
Hand split as usual and stacked about half a face cord of elm, red oak, red pine, cherry. Trying to refill this rack and then probably relaxing with the coming ice storm.
Since the woods is full of ice, I spent the day running around picking up dead pine branches and burning pine splits. The front (it was blocked off by pine splits) of the fireplace is finally open so I can use the bucket to clean out the snow and ashes this winter. Since we have some snow coming in, I filled our RTV X1100c and the Mahindra 4540 with diesel. We loaded up the empty diesel cans and took a ride and filled those up so we have three five gallon cans full.
I tried just uploading some pics but I keep getting security warning. Maybe too big. They’re about 14mb I’m recycling this vid from another thread. Got out back with the boys today and got half of this snapped maple yarded by foot to a spot I can reach it with the ATV.
