Wood Moisture Meter

    Need some advice on moisture meter. Don't want to sell the home for one.

    For every day household firewood use the one from Lowes works.

    Backwoods Savage will tell you to get three years ahead and the wood will be dry when you burn it. He has a good point. I like gadgets so I have a Lowes moister meter

    A moisture meter is a good investment when getting started. Make sure you are using correctly though.

    Test the wood on a fresh split face that is at or near room temperature.
