    Really? Hope so, I've never burned any Cherry.... Of course, it will be about 5 years minimum before I would be burning this one... I was going to guess Walnut, cause the bark looks similar to a Walnut tree I got last year in the same woods...

    Yup, cherry. Note the burnt potato chip bark. Awesome!

    The scale type of bark could also be a hickory, but it probably is cherry.

    It is cherry. Just take your time with that one, could be some limbs under tension. Otherwise some good firewood there.

    I think that is a drunk tree...it tipped over. Back before I had to quit I tipped over a few too many times as well.
