Day tripped to the cape cod canal today. The cord calculator has failed me. Didn't catch the name on it.
It's not the schooner Ernestina as the Ernestina doesn't have a square rig on the forward mast and the masts are not raked like that. If you have a smart phone you can get the name of the boat from its AIS transponder on a live map. The live maps come and go due to support but this one for the canal seems to be live. Beautiful vessel! Everything about her says speed! Makes me want to say things like "Arrggg" and "Avast me hearties".
From the first pic, I can see it’s about a quarter mile from the Maritime Academy and heading for it.
It went on through buzzards bay. I believe there is/was a tall ship event up at Gloucester. So, there's tall ships around.
Looks like the Lynx. I've seen her hanging out in Nantucket a few years back with Spirit of Baltimore.
