Yep same here. Have already started burning on the ugly pile. Been getting down to the 30's at night. Winter is here just no snow yet.

The rain here has been unrelenting. Rain every day for well over a week and more rain coming. I don't know how much we really have gotten recently but a five gallon menards wash bucket has refilled itself magically sitting on the patio. It's actually pretty depressing. A hurricane would put me in an institution. Don't know how folks bounce back from that.

Yeah, it's mud season here as well.

I can only hope those in central Pa. that have had such a wet summer are getting some relief.

I'm kinda tired of hearing "squish" with every step.

These boots may never dry out.

It is so wet I am afraid to go and get any of the trailers out of the field- The 6x10 has a load of splits on it and I can tell it is lower than it was. Every time I figure to go out and empty it it starts raining again. Been at the shop last 2 days- yep, getting reday to leave and its wet out there again.

Well... I do hope that you have laid in an amount of adult beverages, at least.

Here in VA it's been so wet all summer it's been really difficult to get hay baled, wood hauled out of fields, etc. On the plus side there have been some good scrounge opportunities due to trees that have fallen in people's yards. The past couple of days have been warm and sunny (like August warm, upper 80's!), so it's giving the lower pasture a little bit of a chance to dry out. I took a gamble and left about 2 cords of rounds stacked outside and was worried that they were just getting more and more water logged; but I'm feeling a little better now with them getting some wind and sun exposure. It is a little wild walking around uncomfortably warm in jeans and a t shirt in October- come on, Fall!

And most of the garden has been harvested and canned. Still have the carrots and potatoes to dig up.
I think the lawn has had its last cutting so I can take the batteries out of the mowers.

I'm Jealous. I can't even get at what might still be alive ... Cucumbers and peppers, I think the carrots are rotting in this.

We've had a really hot & humid summer, but not as wet as some here have had. Have had to work a lot of evenings on stuff that I normally do on weekends due to crappy weather, but all in all in decent shape. 20+cord stacked & ready, new roof, siding & insulation all done. New boiler up & running & covered. Got about 1.5 more cord to stack under the carport over the boiler, engine to swap on the power wheelbarrow & prep the plow truck. Getting there I guess.

Thankfully, the crazy rain amounts have let up here. Its raining now, but it's been much more reasonable for the past month.

I have literally everything to do still to prep for this winter.

Wood needs to go in the shed
    clean chimney and stove
    Split kindling
Fix a broken tile on hearth
Put away all summer equipment and furniture
    Etc

Another batch of storms just rolled in here. Yard so soft, lawn tractor looked like the atv from all the mud flung up.

I've had the woodshed filled since spring.
Plenty of kindling, even some left over from last year.
About a cord of oak is stacked in the basement, with the dehumidifier running overtime!
Chimney cleaned professionally in August, they brushed out more crud than I expected.
Pool is partially closed, we blew the water out of the lines on Sat. and now I have to fill the water bags to hold the cover down.
There's all the rubber roofing to clean, but I don't think I'll get to it.
Lots of misc. wood in the yard to CSS.
Garage is clean, but still have to do the garden shed.
Lots of weeding and cutting back to do.
And of course, the white pine needles, the maple leaves, and then everything else.
Yesterday was spent on Lego and SpongeBob. Well spent.
