I’ve been away for military training my wife hasn’t used the pellet stove so when I returned for a couple of weeks for the holidays I ordered 3 tons of pellets and fired it up the lights started blinking and made a clicking sound. I unhooked the thermostat jumper and let it sit for a few mins and hooked it up and it works like it should any ideas? Need a new stove or an easy fix?. I just need a patch too keep it going until I return home for good in a few months. I just want her to be warm without the fuel oil prices . Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Seems to be quite a bit of info on the issue. Most of what I read points to the auger motor. Some clean it thoroughly, others have replaced the motor. Checkout YouTube.
Surly a small wood pellet stove is not the main source of heat for your family's house, as you said you have oil. A "20" would not heat any house, but 1 to 2 rooms. Sorry for being honest.
It keeps our house roughly around 72 at full bore all day long. This was our first pellet stove to offset the cost of oil. I’m looking for something that will heat our whole house which is 1500 sqft 2 story home. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I rigged up a disconnect on the thermostat jumper since the initial start up seems to be the issue. So I hope that will work until I return in March. If I had more time at home I’d order a new control panel but I don’t have anyone to install it for her lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Update: it did last until I returned. I sent it out for repair instead of buying a new one. It was half the cost and I get it back tomorrow. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
