Scrounged some shagbark today and lots of nuggets and shorties ideal for smoking. I've saved pignut in the past. Which works best in your experience FHC?

I always use shagbark because that's typically what I get anyway, but talking to other guys around here, as well as what the biggest BBQ restaurant in the region uses, the general consensus is always shagbark.

The restaurant I mentioned uses 100% shagbark and they get 2 cords a week delivered, last they told me in 2017 when they catered my wedding. It was hard for me to wrap my head around how much they really go through! but obviously they are using it not just for the smoke but for their actual fuel as well in their massive pits.
