It's surely not in the stihl online catalog!
I saw one with my own eyes at farmer steve's gtg last fall.

What gives? Don't they want to sell saws? Are they just a myth? To good to be true? It's a secret? They're junk?

    The site says coming soon...:hair:

Ive inquired at my local dealer last year and recently. They hadnt even heard of one last year. Much to my surprise i saw one for sale on FBM a couple months ago in NY. Guy wanted stupid money for it though. Theres a FHC member from Greece that had a couple for sale last year.
Im not looking to get one but am curious. How about yourself?

    My guess.
Covid has probably delayed production of the new model. Got to have inventory to distribute to dealers.

I would guess you are right, Our supply chain at work has been struggling to keep things flowing.

Well...i recently sold two saws(029super and 362)...so now i dont have a saw with a 20" bar. The 066 is a little heavy to be carrying around the woods. That means there's a gap that needs filled...

those are two good saws gone from your arsenal. What are you running now?...besides out of saws!
EDIT: i see it in your signature...good small saw in the 241 and large in the 660.
I ran a tank of gas through my 028 super today and its a kick azz saw. Recently bought it used but with low hours. I seem to prefer it over my 261. 3-4 tanks through it since i got it a month ago.

There's a lot of things being delayed due to Covid19. MS500i, new Ford Bronco, races, sports, gatherings, Cinco De Mayo...

I bought it from a coworker. When i got it i told him I'd sell it back if he ever wanted. (He called me the same morning another friend bought my old 029 that i hadn't used since i bought the 362. )
I had it 3 years and sold it back for $25 less.:salute:

I had the 029 super for 25 years and sold it for $125 ( $75 less than i paid)

Ok keeping your word. I will assume since you only used 362 you liked it?

I did like it. Id consider another one, but the 500i is similar in weight. (About 1.5# heavier, but 2 more hp )

Specs for 500i according to Stihl

Is that weight comparison adding in the weight of the bar and chain? I see Stihl lists powerhead weight, while Makita for example lists the weight with the bar and chain that it comes with.

Send that 261 off to Huskihl for a tune up...otherwise known as Extra Sausages.
You'll throw stones at the rest of your saws.

The 241 is definitely my go-to as i carry it on my quad all the time. The XS 261 and 066 only come out as needed.
The 170 is Miss July's saw...so i dont run it much.

MMMMMM! Sausage  T.Jeff Veal has been urging me to get my 290 done by him. My fear is ill want all my saws XS! I have six Stihls now and one or two more in my future!
It was cool to go into the shop this morning and have to choose which one to cut with today...290, 028, 261. 261 my usual go to saw.
I havent gone "eenie, meenie, miney, mo" yet!
