I'm glad there are no Asian Carp in my area (yet) but if there were I'd be out there netting as many as I could, and having fun like these guys doing it.

Thank God they are not on any of the waters I boat on. If they were, I'd be doing this as well.

Thanks for posting that Warner. I missed that story on our local news.

Lake Minnetonka is in my neighborhood. We had an old lake home on one of her many bays as a boy where we spent summer vacations fishing, boating and swimming. Now the entire lake has been gentrified, and home of the rich and famous. It is also a great fishery for bass, Muskie, walleye and panfish. It is host to many big fishing tournaments every summer, and has been the subject of many segments on national fishing shows.

The common carp (no Asian carp in there) were in there as far back as I recall back to the early 70s. It is one of the lakes I routinely darkhouse spear in the winter, and after many hours starting down into the lake looking for pike I have never seen a carp, but than again the lake covers well over 14,000 acres so there are a lot of places where they must congregate in the winter.
