Ugh... you guys are really having a rough time. Hope it's in the rearview mirror soon wildwest ... hang in there... hugs from Vicki and I.
I hope the tamiflu works for you. And codeine cough syrup is a godsend. I hope your daughter gets some relief too.
I feel for you. I got lucky this time and did not get the painful ribs. I don’t know how I didn’t get them this time. I have had that happen before and I know exactly how you feel. If any of you still have coughing and any discolored mucus after ten days or so get to the doctor and get antibiotics. Your body gets so beat up from the flu you don’t want to get a bacterial infection like pneumonia. Hang in there.
Thanks , thankfully her's was less severe, she came around Friday, finally got to go back to school and see her little friends! Yes, we have codeine, I have antihist/codeine and WWW has guafen/codeine. Thanks for the advice NortheastAl Al, Monday will be day 10 for WWW and as of now he''s going back.
If you don't heat it hot enough it can cause problems with sludge and/or bacteria. Heating it up and mixing it back down is a requirement for combination heat and DHW boilers because the system tends to operate between 160 and 180 for heating the house. If you have a small water heater setting the temp higher and mixing it down is a cheap and easy way to get extra capacity....40 gallons of 120 water or 40 gallons of 160 water.. that's an extra 13K BTUs stored up and ready.
Probably a good thing if you are on a well to go with higher temps regardless of if you have a boiler or a separate DHW tank to get rid of some of the bacteria. Never even thought about a tank of hot water going further - probably because I don't have kids.
Morning folks! Wife and I went out and did a lil bowling last night. Drank a few while we did so, then found our way into the attached bar to watch some bad karaoke. Its hilarious how awesome some of those "professional" singers think they are! Didnt make it to bed until 2, and then lil girl and I were up at 6. So I sent her downstairs to watch cartoons while I point coffee and burn down coals.
Bought an expensive pallet last night at Menards. Just about a $1000 per pallet was the going price. Luckily they had the 11% sale going on. Oh...the pallet had a bunch of shingles stacked on it too.
Got some molasses cookies made for a museum event later today, before hitting church. Now it's time to unload the shingles out of the truck before weather moves in later today. Hope anyone feeling under the weather can get some recuperation today.
Dry and looks like it might be sunny. Got a pot of soup going on the stove. Getting a few chores done, then off to visit Mom today.
