I’m working on the Jonsered 2245 I was given. Put a 2250 oem top end kit on it. Missing the worm gear and the flywheel nut.

    Nice plating on it.

And a roached 55 my cousin gave me. It too got a new oem top end kit. Looks like it’ll be pretty clean when finished. Missing an ex gasket and a couple smalls.

Probably ask $200ish. In my area I've seen 'em at $200-$250. I have a case with it too.

Does someone need to update the title of this thread to ...on your bench 2021?
Or do we just start a new one for 2021? I’ll let the older members sort that out.

Anyways.... here is a picture of my new chainsaw repair station at work. It’s not much of a bench in size, but it is better than what I’ve been using. It’ll let me keep all my tools that I use on saws and some smaller parts all in one place. I’ll need to get a FHC sticker on it when the swag shop opens. Probably a Husqvarna sticker too. The 357 on top is just a prop for the picture. E79C7385-A550-4C26-BAA3-28C4921AD6AF.jpeg FAB5AF92-9D3E-4797-97BC-239B837FE2FF.jpeg

what do you think about the color?

    I’ve got the same cart!
It’s really a nice box for the price and seems well built.

Until the lid pistons get weak and it slams down on your knuckles! Ask me how I know.... the pistons are easily replaceable with better stuff!

Picked up a couple signs today. For the garage bench. It was cheaper per each to get the two. Let me know if anyone is interested in one. I’m only keeping one for the garage bench.

Going back together with the 357. Gasket delete netted an 023 squish. I’m good with that. Only replacing the fuel and impulse lines and the partition wall to get the metal clamp instead of the plastic clip, although it was still pretty tight.

Had my 357 apart last week trying to get rid of the bog coming off idle. I gained some but don’t think it is perfect yet, need to get it into some wood & see for sure. First time I’ve ever had a cylinder off of a saw. Thought about a gasket delete but don’t have any sealer for that, yet.

Might be interested in one. I’ll send a pm.

The 2245 that I was given sheared the nub/key on the flywheel. Couldn’t source a used one and new was too expensive. So I cut a piece of copper wire and ground a little channel for it to catch. Then used some retaining compound and tightened it up. That was yesterday so I’m hoping to fire it up today.

    standing by...

I’ve found some of the hardware stores around me have lots of woodruff keys in the section with the stocked / managed hardware. Finding the right size is the hunt. But they’re in the $.67 range.

Forget if I asked, did you eliminate the auto decomp on that? I know that killed a few of 'em.

I haven’t yet. I’ve got a few plugs hanging around and will be going that way. I don’t think the 357 will need one.

    Back together.
I got stitched up last week so I won’t be attempting to start it another week and a half. It’ll give the Yamabond a good long stretch to set up

CL score. Advertised as needing a new carb, “according to the shop.”

It will run if started like a flooded saw, trigger squeezed. Won’t idle though. Not on the bench yet, but maybe on deck. Awfully clean.
