    Post up your projects.
A guy on ope forum sent me a nice condition 1994 272xp
    And a very nice 1996 272xp 20200627_192828.jpg 20200627_193319.jpg 20200627_193955_HDR.jpg 20200628_103739_HDR.jpg 20200628_100653_HDR.jpg The 94 just needed a ring the 96 ate the piston ring locating pin
Both are getting a hyway 272 popup piston
I built a 266 recently that runs excellent with one.
All that's left is crank seals I'll try to finish them today
Great saws and very easy to work on.

Needs new rubber, clutch ( this clutch has shoes and one has fallen off ) and I’m in the market for a new rear handle shroud. This one has a crack through at the AV mount.

I built some stuff over the winter but I've been so busy with trees, work and chores that I really don't get too much time to work on saws during the summer, unless it's an emergency repair on one of my worksaws.....

I do have several projects for when the weather turns south, though. Got this P38 sitting here I'd like to do some crazy stuff too, as well as these two BP-1's that I'm still on the fence about selong or building one.......

And I'm still looking for a P62 and something on the 088-880 family.....

Well this is what’s on my bench ,awaiting parts . Except for the 10-10 ,it’s awaiting a tear down . The P&C is scored . Need to find out how bad . But gotta get these other .saws gone first . They’re all cleaned ,and prepped for parts . Not accepting anything else until this is cleared . The good news is that the 031 ,and 10-10s are now mine , and when I fix that Timber Bear , it goes to someone else . 17+ pounds PHO ,and 60CC’s .. 0B953A7F-A8E8-49F4-AEFC-7EA8AB7C0963.jpeg 6D73838F-4071-479E-983F-96600AD765B4.jpeg BA45097F-AD56-4198-AE97-78BF10D7633C.jpeg 35D28415-812F-4EFA-8C19-FB6FBC9A180D.jpeg BD90A96B-50FE-4D6B-B512-195335FBB2D1.jpeg B6354193-AA75-4D30-B918-B736C0BB217E.jpeg

Are those all keepers, or do you fix & flip, or do repairs for others? What is the Husqvarna in the second to last picture?

No!!! I do have a box of mini macs that I would be willing to part with . How about $20 plus shipping ?
I can’t afford to pay more than that right now ...

I’m keeping the 10-10s ,and the 031AV . They came in a pile of saws that a guy wanted rid of . I also got a Shindiawa 488 from the guy . All the other saws belong to other folks . The Husqvarna is a 142 needing an impulse tube , carb rebuild .
I get these things running for the cost of the parts . I don’t charge for labor , cleaning , or chain molesting . It’s a hobby ,and charging for labor would make it a job ...

If you ship them to PEI UPS collect you can learn new words and save money.

1985 266 builder the previous owner junked the muffler threads.
So now it has a 268xp closed port cylinder and a hyway 268 popup piston
Excellent runner with just a muffler mod
Had to cut the top cover the front was broken.
    That's the hardest thing to find for a 266. 20200310_150206.jpg 20200317_154408_HDR.jpg 20200509_172320 (1).jpg 20200509_172310_HDR.jpg 20200510_174836.jpg

I'll ask a logger friend if he knows of any.
Another friend was supposed to give me a 066
His elderly mother put it out on the curb with the trash
He had set it on the the trash can in the garage.
I always ran husqvarna since the 80s
I've used some stihl never kept any
Other than a 261 it's more husky like than the older stihls.

1986 266xp bone stock I just had to refresh it.
    Carb kit,fuel line,crank seals etc.
After 34 year's and never being rebuilt
It still has 192# compression 20190626_182533.jpg 20190909_163827.jpg the aftermarket 268/272 mufflers are not the greatest they work ok.
But the 266 has a smaller muffler no longer available.
If you use the larger 268/272 muffler
It will melt the hard to find 266 topcover.
The aftermarket husqvarna 55 muffler fits perfectly.
And are extremely well made unlike the am 268/272 offerings.
This was actually a husqvarna update when the oem 266 mufflers dried up.

My nieces 93.00 belt didn't make it long
    The pulley separated
    Hopefully it's not destroyed
Most of the damage was to the backside of the belt. 20200705_140852_HDR.jpg 20200705_140844_HDR.jpg

    Cliffs of insanity

Friend brought his uncles Jonsered CS2166 over. Not much to go one but it ran like chit
Obvious low compression was the first symptom. But would still start and run after tuning, as long as I didn’t use the decomp.

Found the clamp on the intake loose and then pulled the muffler.

I’m trying to save the cylinder. But also looking at a meteor kit that covers 356/372 xtorq as well as 2166/2172.

what’s your thought on 372xp oe?
