Did you do the burgers in the fryer? I was thinking of that recently when it cold and rainy but wasnt sure how they would come out.

Problem is that after cooking burgers on lump for so long, frying doesn't cut it.

Yes....everything has been cooked in it for the last couple months except for what I cook in the smoker .I have been without a cook stove...just getting one hooked up to a 20 pounder today til I get my 500 gallon hooked up.
That air fryer makes some awesome food!!! Just gotta know how to cook....I think alot of peeps just use them to to make pre cooked stuff like fries and wings

I use the air fryer all the time.

For things like raw wings, cook for 20-25 minutes at lower temps (around 200) then crank it to its highest temp to crisp em up.

Assume burgers would be a similar method-

One of the issues I have is trying to melt cheese on top of something-it flies all over the place

Toothpicks help sometimes with slices-shredded cheese not so much

Looks like you are back to yourself , hot AIR with some smoke.:smoke:

I have thought about an air fryer but not sure how much we would use it or if it would just be another fad kind of cooker. Like the Geo Foreman grills of the countertop rotisserie.

Hey Skeeter , what do you have?
We have seriously been thinking about one but know nothing about them.

Some say they are great and others have told me that they are OK and a real pain to clean after.

i think part of the bad views of air fryers is people dont know how to cook and they are just tossin some frozen processed chit in there to begin with..

    heres the formula......
good stuff goes in...good stuff comes out
    chit goes in...chit comes out

I don't expect that , we do very little frozen prepared food.
Love cooking and usually do pretty well considering I am the farthest thing from a chef.
Just not big fans of prepared or take out. Not afraid to shoot from the hip when I have to.

im pretty sure you would be happy with one.....i cant speak for other brands or models but this one cooks awesome.....my only complaint as ive posted before was that it smelled like "electronics" for quite a few cooks...not a deal breaker
