The bark's pretty close for Norway, but the wood is all wrong. That said, Mulberry isn't a great match either.
That is medium size Mulberry from a tree that's not real old.Bark isn't as furrowed at that age.Also its been cut a few days,possible a couple weeks.Starts turning from bright yellow to medium/golden brown in that time frame once exposed to light & air.Some of the smaller rounds in my stacks look identical to those.
That's basically what I first thought, and it's probably right, but I rarely see a length of mulberry as straight as what's in that first pic. Also, the texture of the bark looks right for a youngish specimen, but the bark of the mulberry that's common in my area has a distinct yellow-orange cast, not the cool gray I see here.
Now that I look at it again I'm saying young Ailanthus/Tree Of Hell for the first pic of that straight piece.Recognize that nasty stinking stuff anywhere.Still say Mulberry for the other stuff though.
