What is the story behind them not being sold in the US? Don't want it cutting into 461 sales?

I was told the line that assembles them for here has been getting totally refurbished/modernised. That tidbit is a almost 2 months old. Who knows.

They have not been sold in the US for a couple years maybe. The 462 is available in some countries in Europe. IIRC it was 72cc, 6.5hp, and really light.

Maybe they want to cede selling the 70 cc saws to Husky.

The ms441 is available again in the USA. All I heard was they were having quality issues when they suspended production. No idea if the price is the same as before.

I had a 441 and I must say I wasn't much impressed. I sold it for what I paid for it and bought a 461 and have been :rootintootin::dancer:ever after! Hope the new one is better.

Why would they re-release the 441 with the 462 coming out soon, hopefully?

Me too. I was hoping it would be fuel injected but I bet is going to be MTRONIC.

    I found the specs.

If we ever meet, you are welcome to take my MMWS MS441C-M for a spin. Everybody walks away from that one wondering how the hell the 441 gets a bad rap. :saw:

I think the later MS441C-M's were noticeably better than the earlier units.

I don't remember mine being a C M. Seems to me it had standard screw adjustments for the carb. It was about 6 or 7 years ago thst I bought it. But I'm old and the memory ain't what it used to be. :BrianK: What is this thread about?
