I am very happily retired. Sometimes, just plain tired. I did enjoy a good working life until an injury ended my career back in 1984. I have overcome part of that problem but it does still hound me. So, I do what I can and say pee on the rest.
Electronics/Computer/Network geek/jockey for 35 years, took early retirement (at 62) from HP in 2012. Don't miss the company one dang bit, but I still miss some of the people. Now I do the occasional paint job for pay, but I mostly just doodle around the house on various projects. And lots of trips to the forest to cut firewood or scout for mule deer.
Happily retired. Spent 44 years in the Maintenance Department at various plants as Electrician, Millwright, Electronic Tech, Supervisor and Hydraulic Tech. I have no desire to go back to the rat race. Let them have their young guns and run the place.
Wish I was retired, long ways to go. Mechanical engineer for 15 yrs. Oversee machine tooling in 20 different sites worldwide. Focus on gear/shaft production. 47 flights so far in 2017.

Retired now. Worked in broadcast for the state (public broadcasting). Had to keep the transmitters on the air, both TV and FM along with weather transmitters. There had been 4 guys at the site when I started but it was down to 1 (me) when I retired.
Facilities Manager for residential and light commercial buildings. I could write a book on what I've seen and done. I'm 90% hands on and 10% desk jockey.
