Such a nice sunny day I decided to open up another wood stack and take to the porch.

Backwoods Savage Is the frost out of the ground at your place? I don't see your tractor making a mess of your yard. I am guessing we have frost 2+ feet deep here.

Looking good there, Savage. That tractor is pretty sharp! How's the body feeling after moving the wood?

Well, that was not in the yard but right there I do not think there is any frost left. I'd say the only frost is in places in the woods and in the roads. Yesterday when we went to Saginaw I saw several tiles running but most tiles you could not see as most creeks and rivers were up to the top with water. Also, there is very little standing water in fields and open areas. The only standing water we have here is in the normal very low spots and we get it every spring. There is nowhere to drain it without digging a ditch but that's okay as it is in sand and will go down in a very short time.

Not feeling too bad Papi but do feel it for sure. After I got the wood and grabbed a bite to eat I took the small saw and did a little cutting. Knocked down a small tree. Cut up a few that were already down and cut a little brush to open up a new lane into the woods. No doubt I'll feel this for a day or two but it really felt great to get back out to do some work...finally.

It's so good to see you feeling better & back to the outdoors that you love! Save us a little work though please.

Bet that felt good to do. Looks like the job is fun as well when heavy equipment is involved too!

With these machines we're going to wonder how we ever did it before...
more importantly for any newcomers you can hoard wood the old fashioned ways and aspire to tractor status when and if the financials make sense.

yeah ahaha. Now I'm just waiting until I can put the other kind of plow on and turn some ground over :) I wouldn't dare take my little two wheel drive Oliver in the yard now. That Kubota the poster has would do a bit better with that FWA.
