Seems like since the server upgrade, I've had problems staying on the site. Clear cache, refresh, reboot.....still the same. Any other suggestions Grizzly Adam?
A couple other members have experienced it as well. Member JRSDWS has been booted about a half dozen times. Last time was yesterday.
No. This is what I get. Firewood Hoarder's Club Forums Firewood Hoarders Club has moved to it's new server. If you are seeing this, try refreshing the page and emptying your browser cache. It may take up to 48 hours before all the servers are fully updated. Happened right after I posted this thread, then I couldn't get back on. Went away for a few, came back and voila, back on. Weird.
Just trying to figure out what exactly you mean by booting. If you are still being sent to the old site, reboot your internet box (DSL or cable modem typically) and reboot any routers or switches you may have. Best case scenario, unplug them for 10 minutes. While they are off, hard reboot all your devices-- this means shut them down completely and then boot them back up. If you are still having problems, empty cache on all affected devices and then flush your DNS cache using the instructions on this page https://getflix.zendesk.com/hc/en-gb/articles/200586700-How-do-I-flush-my-DNS-cache- and hard reboot again. Hope this helps.
Not sent to old site. I've done all that. Just flushed dns cache and rebooted the laptop. We'll see what happens. Thanks Adam.
Somewhere along the way one of your devices is harboring dns cache that points back to the old host. It is leaving our server fine, so its somewhere after that. A relay before your isp is unlikely since we dont have large areas blacked out. It could be one or more of the switches in the bank at your isp, or it is more likely in your own house-- your highspeed modem, router, or the device itself. I hope it is sorted out for good now.
I misunderstood when you mentioned the old site.....I was thinking the original. Gotcha now. I've been on for a few minutes now......maybe clearing the DNS cache did the trick. Where's the fingers crossed smiley when you need it?
Did it again this morning. Grizzly Adam, I was using Opendns servers in the router. I've had that setup for more than a year w/o issue. Took 'em out, and so far, so gooder. ETA: Side benefit, page loads seem quicker now too.
