And thank YOU, Valhalla. Some great vids here. I'm glad you found this thread, WeldrDave moderates this thread. He is a great guy and a good friend with many years in the USCG who has been awaiting a commander in chief worthy of accepting his retirement.
Thanks for the kind words NH mountain man! And I'm offically done 01 Sept 2017! after 26 years. I'll be actually out of uniform about 01 June 2017 because of my leave saved, proceed time, house hunting time in "New Hampshire" and some other Chiefly leave I can muster up! Welcome Valhalla!!! Glad your with us!
The kind words are earned and deserved. Congratulations on your retirement, and thank you for your service.
I am glad that you guys liked the videos as much as I did. I watch those videos from time to time and I get chills every time! I can't seem to find the one for the Army and the USCG. There was one that I saw for the USCG but it's not the warrior song. When I find it again I can post it. And the only one I found that would be for the Army seems to cover all branches. I'll post those here sometime today!
Check out "the Marmalade" reflections of my life- Vietnam veterans on youtube. A couple of my friends, purple hearts from the war like it.
I missed having to possibly go to Vietnam by 2 years. I would have joined the Navy, that is where my history would have taken me. These are the things on my mind when I was in high school, You had to think about it back then. Many served, some never came back. We must never forget them.
Thanks to all here: those currently serving, veterans and patriots Together, let's make America even greater!

My neighbor friend many years back, his father was a F-104 pilot in country, shot down, "never" was recovered... as far as I know they only have an approximate location where he crashed. Our Guberment never went in to locate him. My friends mother believed he was in a "no fly" area that didn't exist or he wasn't supposed to be there. They moved away 30+ years ago but I still remember her showing off his pictures in uniform. "Very Proud" folks!
