Finally got the boat in the water and got the first two trips under our belt. Worked on getting everything setup and all the maintenance done on Friday. Got the first trip in and caught some decent fish even in 3-4 footer on Saturday with only a little hiccup. Sunday was an absolutely gorgeous day with a 4 man ticket in less than three hours. I was actually bummed we finished up that quick so we fun fished for a bit lol.

Where are you fishing? "In the hills" is a tad vague!

Nice. Did a minute of research. Sounds like outstanding fishing. Curious. What make/model is your boat?

It's an 80's model Sportcraft 300, 30 footer, weighs about 8500 pounds and is about 10 foot wide with a 454. We did a lot of work to it when we bought it and have it setup pretty well now but it's still a boat with a lot of maintenance which is why three of us go in on it together to make it more affordable lol.

Boat = a portable hole in the water into which one pours money
Car / Truck/motorcycle = a portable pothole into which one pours money
Home = ( ya you likely will guess this) a fixed hole the ground into which one pours money
Thus ends our Financial lesson for today

Sounds like you have it figured out. Splitting cost is nice.

Walleye is great. Many years ago, every year we would go up to Canada fishing.

with that boat we can easily fish 3-4 footers. Much over that and it’s just not fun fighting the gear constantly.
