Travis is an amazing guy... his amazing vision grew exponentially with mountains of help & support from local and national orgs. They started with an old retreat that was in terribly run down shape and built it all back up from an entire foundation replacement... kept most of the framework (when possible)... to eventually create this facility to inspire and help injured vets. They can handle 8 families at a time (for now). It just opened this summer. 56 vets and their families have stayed for a week so far... all at no cost to them. Gary Sinise and Mike Rowe have already gotten involved on the national level after hearing about Travis... it's obvious they'll stay involved in the future. Here are some pics from the visit...

Travis was joking and having fun with everyone during this photo op he'd already been doing for 5 hours. He's clearly created something very special here. Glad we went.

I heard about Travis Mills somewhere else, I can't remember exactly where, but yeah, his story is amazing.
