Updating old lanterns

    I have several old kerosene lanterns. I decided to update them to LED lights.

    That's a cool idea. I have a lantern like the red one that could be converted.

    Very cool man..... they look great! I love lanterns, although I only have a few! Adds a nice touch to decor.

    Might want to keep at least 1 oil lamp for dark phone booths though.

    I was asking him if it were possible to fit a light in the wick opening/cap. He thought why not have a light that’s operated by a battery that can be hid in the oil tank below? It would make it functional without ruining the lamp by putting a hole in it.

    They have them but there not that bright and tend to go through a lot of batteries.

    Thank you, I didn’t know it was brass until I started cleaning it. About 2 hours of scrubbing did the job.

    I’m just about done with the boat lamp, all I have left is to stain the wooden base.
