This thing is for sale right now in Denver. I’m not completely sure how it works, but it’s a wood stove/oven combo? It looks cool!

Anyone ever heard of such a thing, or seen one work? My understanding, is that the round glass part is the actual wood burning part? I could be wrong about that.

I guess they were pretty rare.

Saw one of those on FB. I thought it was home made cobbled together. Seems like there would be some serious heat thrown from that. I’d like to see one in action

I'd ask the owner, but I can't imagine the fire goes in the round spot, the stove pipe is coming off of that rectangular area an it kind of looks like there's some sort of a heat shield that curves up on the side.

I’ve seen several for sale on CL and FBM over the last few years.

An interesting novelty. Would be interesting to burn one of those outside in a safe place…BUT…

…there is no way I’d ever trust that thing in my home or any home, especially from the time period they we’re seemingly and supposedly made in.

My advice to anyone burning one:

    1. Burn it outdoors only.

    2. Small fires…small fires.

    3. Was most likely was NOT built as a home heating appliance.

    4. Even if it was built as a home heating appliance I still would NOT trust it inside any enclosure.

It does seem sketch. But I’d love to watch it work.
