    My hydraulic pump crapped out onmy timberwolf and they want 540.00 for a new one (22galmin) that hurts thing is 6 years old and does do a azz load of wood

    You may just get lucky and find another, cheeper source for that pump.

    If "they" is TW, shop around. You should be able to save a close to 50%, just match as close as you can the gpm in both stages and the mounting pattern. The plumbing side is just a matter of adaptors if necessary.

    i was thinking about going from a 16 gpm on my splitter to a 22 but im afraid my small cylinders wouldnt be able to handle it

    Try Lifco Hydraulics , Buffalo NY.
    They've always been the cheapest source of quality pumps for me over the years . They have a website you can enter the pump
    serial # and if they have it in stock you can view the price right online.
    I bought a 22 gpm for my splitter build awhile back and it was around $350 .
    Rebuild is also an option.

    The pump went on my TW-P1 this past fall. Well, not completely, but it was leaking so bad as to be unusable. I replaced it with an OEM pump for $300 but could have saved $180 by going with an aftermarket pump. Unfortunately, the aftermarket ones were backordered and probably still are. My dealer wanted to use the aftermarket one but I wasn't willing to wait.
