Well as many of you know Tuesday is the day my wife has ACL & Cartilage surgery. The doctor is going to do a nerve block and put her under for the surgery. It looks like it will be a 2.5 hour surgery with up to 10 hr recovery time before we can bring her home. It should be interesting ! Please keep her in your prayers and thoughts she is a nervous reck right now.....
Know how she feels. Had a total left knee joint replacment done last year. Tell her all will be good. Joint surgery of all types has come along way in the last 5 years. Not as bad as it used to be. Tell her the harder she works in the rehab phase, the faster things will get back to normal. No pain, no gain. Wish her well from us.
Best of luck to her. And yes procedures have come a long way. I had had meniscus tears on both knees over the years. Its not replacement but my surgeon has the same approach of quick recovery through hard work after the procedure.
Pete you tell "da Boss" she's been in my thoughts and prayers all week already, as have many others..... Tell her to be tough, that we're all rooting for her. If she's half as determined and strong willed as you are, she'll breeze right through it..... Continuing prayers your way, brother....
I had my Hip Resurfaced in March back to work in 9 days , They gave me a spinal block and let me tell ya I felt nothing after the surgery. Tylenol for a little pain
I had surgery last November. The 10 hours will seem like 10 minutes. No worries. Wait a minute, she's reading this? WORK IT FOR ALL IT'S WORTH, HONEY! hehehehe I see lots of chick flicks in someone's future.
Pallet Pete's pretty princess perfectly poised for physician's precise paring. We'll be thinking of her Tuesday Pete. You too.
Good luck, I'm sure all will go fine. Not all that much pain with my similar surgery a couple years back. Let me tell you it will be well worth it once you get through it.
Prayers up for her, Pete, and for you. I had my chest cracked for triple bypass surgery five years ago, and was back in the office working 16 days later. What she's going through ain't a cake walk, and it many ways the post op rehab is a bear, but she'll get through, especially with the good man she has beside her. Both of you be at Peace and Trust in the Lord.
