Does anyone have one of the TSC wood trolley? They are currently on offer. At the moment I load the wheelbarrow and push it to the door, then I have to make several trips back and forth to fill my rack at the stove. I was thinking with this trolley I could roll it into the house; I have a few steps to navigate. The wheels look a bit cheap though; looks like plastic centres.
Have never seen one. The idea is solid. Have to check it out in person and see what you think of the wheels. They would not get too many miles on them.
Kimberly , it looks similar to a hand truck that I modified for my purposes. I think the position of the wheels of the TSC unit would make it a bit easier to handle when full. But, I don't know how well the plastic wheels would hold up.
I decided to look on Amazon and found several with the pneumatic wheels that I like better. There is one that I am considering getting and I have a $10.00 credit on Amazon as well. I thought about building a box to sit on a hand trolley/truck but my current one needs repair. Maybe it would be better to invest in a new hand trolley with a box; a ratchet strap would hold the box in place. When I needed the hand trolley I could remove the box. That way I have two tools in one.
OK, C'mon now. You two have to get on the same page. Either it's "hand truck" instead of trolley or "plough" and hearth.
I think the softer pneumatic tyres would be easier on my vinyl flooring as well; I want to be able to wheel the wood inside.
I have changed my mind on the TSC; there are a lot of choices on the market that I think are better. However, I do like the idea of a hand trolley to bring the load of wood inside all at once instead of making several trips with my arms full.
I delivered wood to a lady that used one of those years ago. Only thing was that it was about an inch wider than her door frame and she had big gouges in the frame from the axle ends. It worked good though
I found this one on Amazon and it is only 13 inches wide so will better fit the shorter wood that I cut; the width from outer wheel to outer wheel is not shown. My concern is how strong is the tubing? It does state that it can hold 220 lbs of wood.
The problem with them is the "tires"! Bastards go flat and don't hold up well! They are made in china and made from recycled soda cans. "My opinion" get a good heavy duty hand truck and bolt a big basket to the bottom blade.
Yes, been thinking about that as well; a wooden crate and I could just use a ratchet strap to hold the crate to the trolley when I need to bring in the wood.
Hey Kimberly the tubing on those is paper thin a customer brought me one to fix it snapped at that bottom bolt hole those kind of tires are terrible if you do get something put tubes in the tires right away then you should not have any trouble I will show you my " Trolley" for bringing wood in but I think it would be a little rough on your living room floor just thought you would get a laugh JB
WeldrDave if you ever want a laugh hold one of those tires up to a good light you can see through some of them JB
