Spoiler, I’m a milling noob. I have a small, essentially edging “mill” attachment for my 60cc saw. I’m having a lot of trouble milling even the roughest, most crooked planks out of some pine I have lying round. I do have a sharp ripping chain, and a full skip chain I have not tried. Does anyone have any tips, tricks, etc? I’m just trying to make a raised garden bed, so I’m not looking for perfection. I am having a very hard time, I feel like I’m putting undue stress on both my saw and myself. What am I doing wrong?!

Chainsaw milling is tough to start with a 60 cc saw is not the best for milling if you could send a picture of your set up it would help with why you are having so much trouble also how wide are you trying to mill ?? JB

    Pictures of your setup please.

I made this with an MS290 and a mini mill. Used some 4-5’ pieces of white pine I had lying around.
