    The leaves are very large, I'd say 7-8" across

    Here is a little one. They are all over the place on one area of my property.

    I think it’s Stripe Maple. Are the thinner stalks/branches greenish?

    I saw similar last year and didnt know myself. I thought some type of maple by leaf shape and seed pods. This was in the NW hills of the state. Cant say ive seen it in Southern CT. IMG_0650.JPG
