Picked up a new convenience store for my wood bundles. They just opened yesterday. Delivered their first order late today (60 bundles) and with their cheap gas i filled up. Normally $20 at a time. IMG_0013.JPG IMG_0012.JPG

That's cheap? That's about $0.25 higher than around here

$3.50 is average cheap. They are the cheapest ive seen at $3.29 cash paid in recent weeks. Were usually higher here in CT with all the taxes.

Right now, i don't let it get past a 1/4th tank down from full. Its still 20 bucks no matter how you do it. 3.39 here As my dad used to say, its easier to fill the top 1/2 than the bottom half, dad, as usual you were right.

buZZsaw BRAD and I are Connecticut boys. We're towards the national high for petroleum fuels year in and year out.

I prefer my wallet over half full and the gas tank under 1/4. It really gets under Ms.buZZsaw's skin. Shes practically panicing when im driving with the tank under quarter full and she is the passenger.
When in the PU i make her ride in the bed!

Same here. Great news is that I now barely put any miles on now with my new job.

The new office is over twice as far away from my home as the old office but still if I figure worse case mpg, I'll be able to go to work and back for 72 days on a single tank.

Granted, I don't just drive to work and back, but still, that's going to save me quite a bit a year in fuel savings.

buZZsaw BRAD , did they give you a fuel discount at all?

All over the place. Highest around here I've seen is $3.85 but probably closer to $3.50.

    It is what it is...

No fuel discount. Free coffee if i want one. Ill joke with a new cashier that i get a free tank of gas with payment. This store had a teen aged kid working and he believed me, but was going to call the boss first.

Sometimes the payment will go towards gas, but i REALLY prefer to enjoy the cash in my pocket before i spend it! The other station has the cheapest gas in my area. All five i sell to are ten minutes away

WW2 alot of European countries were using gasifiers to power engines. That would destroy modern engines.

Congrats on the new place for selling your firewood. Calif is still the highest in gas prices.
