    There is a funny story behind this. A few years ago I was attempting to organize one of my toolbox’s and priced out plier organizers. After having a heart attack at the insane price I went in the house took our $4 dish strainers and proceeded to mutalate it. Needless to say the wife wasn’t too happy. :rofl: :lol: The other day she called me and said she found a bunch more of those dish strainers at Meijer and bought them for the toolboxes.

    After switching jobs and emptying my service van I of course had multiple sets of tools and needed to get another box. In my estimation having the ability and know how means I can’t have too many tools when it will save us money in the long run so we found a box at Home Depot on clearance that is a 41” combo that matches the 52” I have. We looked last winter and it was $698 then went down to $598 and then $498 because somebody stoll the lock out of the bottom and keys out of the set.

    I could t wait anymore because doing projects at home, fixing some cars on the side and not being able to walk through the garage anymore is useless. We also need to get the garage cleared for wimter to get cars in like many others I suppose.

    The surprise was that she wasn’t all that upset about the dish strainers anymore and bought more for me to destroy :rofl: :lol::rofl: :lol:

    Wow, what a great idea Pete, I'm going to have to copy that! Also, that box is a little shallow for my liking, but who could complain at that price?

    It’s how I found the last 2 boxes on clearance can’t argue for that at all! :dex:

    They told me they had to see if one was in stock before they’d sell this one to me so I said I don’t think you heard me right I have $500 cash today I won’t buy a new box even if you have one unless it’s the same sale price. They called a manager who tried to tell me they can’t sell it to me so I said o well guess I’ll leave then. They did a complete 180 and stopped me from leaving and even insisted on loading it for me. :rofl: :lol:

    After all the years and thousands we have spent at Home Depot I think they can bend the rule a little.....

    Yes they won’t sell large $$ clearance items until it’s the last item as a store policy. The only thing they don’t care on is outdoor power equipment and the clearance end caps.

    Really stupid policy and frankly very good way to drive off business. We walked away from a few items because of that policy. I can go to Lansing or Flint and they do not have that policy however the Corunna store has told us - “ displays go last “- a few times. Even though it is usually not a display and clearly marked clearance.

    You're allowed to organize a toolbox?
    :picard::loco: :crazy:

    I thought it was illegal to do that.

    I wish I could find them that easy! I’m going to meijer and goodwill today to see if I can find more of them. I am gonna raid the stash if there’s one to be found. I’ve got ideas floating in my head for the toolboxes!
