Decided to put the order in for the Allure 50. Wanted the stove in white but have to get the glass front with the white so I'm going with the satin black, if i'm not happy with the black I will pull the columns off and paint them white at work. Stove should come Thursday but I'm not sure when I will get to pick it up with my son wrestling Thurs, Friday, and Sat. :emptywallet:

those who don't have one don't understand.....
Most likely, after installing the stove to manufacturer specifications, during your daily wanderings, you will notice more positive attention from members of the opposite sex (just some Je ne sais pas moments.....), you'll sleep better, your fortunes will seem to have turned, you'll get calls from Dos Equis inquiring on what you would need to get paid to allow them to make "most interesting man...." commercials about YOU, you'll get looks of envy from non-Harman owners, as they try to convince you that their lesser units are "as good as...", or, laughably, "better than...." your unit. Don't allow those naysayers to get you down! They are just trying to diminish your experience! These typically are the same folks who say they wouldn't want to win the $500,000,000 Powerball lottery, simply because it would "change them".....

Anyhow, welcome to the Hormone club! Send us pictures of the new install! And do it right!

    Enjoy the new stove!

I know I know I swore I would never spend that kinda money on a Harman and I will believe the hype if I see it with my own eyes. but I researched basically every brand stove out there and the Allure is one of the only stoves that would work with my corner install with the clearances and not a huge foot print. Honestly the price of the Allure was right around most of the other stoves any way.heck the osburn 5000 would have actually been more and the Ravelli rv 100 only 2 hundred less and they both have smaller hoppers.

I was thinking I would recoup some cost when I bought my Harman, but then one of my sons expressed an interest in the stove I had. The stove was three years old. I would have realized some money from it, but decided to let it go to my son. He has my allnighter in his basement, and now the pellet stove in the livingroom. I found that stove to be temperamental, but he hasn't said one bad word about it. My brother had the same stove I had, but now has a Harman. He got his used and as far as I know, it doesn't have a stat. He loves his Harman.

The only Harman without a stat is the old P38, and you can actually add one. With every other unit, you can use the room sensing probe.....if he doesn't have one, they are pretty cheap....$20-$30 or so.....pretty low cost to make the stove work in that mode.
