Did a recon of some logs that were pilled up near a power line clearing operation. Been there for a month or more so I figured nobody else wanted it too bad. Got there noon on a Sunday, no houses in sight but more pine logs than I factored in and a few of the oaks were way beyond my capacity to lift into my truck alone. Managed to score some red oak and what appears to be ash. Used my free wood sign just in case I got challenged by anyone. 20200607_132846.jpg

nice little scrounge! Love me easy to handle rounds and so does my back!
Have you/do you ever cut at a roadside score?

I cut this one on the roadside. Logs were probably 20 feet or so. No houses were in sight but I'd never do it next to someones house.
