    Hello
This mounting plate was put in brand new about 1.5 years ago. The stove has been burning Clean Fire Pacific Blend. The 6” exhaust mounting plate has a very hard black and rough carbon on it. Luckily the impeller blade was easy to remove and all the back carbon could be successfully wire wheeled off! What can cause this? Is it the pellets? The stove is located on a slab living area on the same level as the ground outside. Any ideas - See Pics.

I got all the black carbon off and then sprayed the mounting hub and the blades with Dry Moly.
