I just agreed to purchase one and I was curious if anyone has experience with them. Looking forward to seeing it.

I really like CZ rifles. Although I haven't had a 223 carbine, I did have the varmint version in 223. I have a 527 varmint in 17 Hornady Hornet, which is one of my favorite rifles, as well as a 455 in 22 lr.

I have a pair of old CZ Scout .22 rifles that I absolutely love. The fit, finish and feel of the action is so nice and solid that I've had several people mistake them for centerfire rifles.
Was looking at the new 600 lux, as my wife is in the market for her first deer rifle, but I'm hearing a lot of people like the discontinued 527s better.

I like the way you are thinking, I just spent an hour or so looking at them, reading reviews & such about them last night. I am thinking 527 Varmit in 204.

I doubt you will be disappointed. The set trigger takes some getting used to and is a cool idea / feature but I ended up just lightening up the main trigger to 4 oz and the set trigger is adjusted so it won't function. I don't like changing my grip to use the set trigger as setting it moves the trigger farther forward. Some love it, some don't. It is extremely light thus giving you a hunting trigger and match type trigger in one gun. By light I mean it can be adjustable down to a couple ounces.

A friend of mine had a buddy pass away from cancer and the mans wife asked him to sell a couple of guns. Really a sad way to get a gun.

This is the only pic I have, condition is new and the scope is a Nikon. Screenshot_20231208-103347.png

I see on the website that 5.56 is good to go.

Yes. The governing body for European chamber pressures don't differentiate between the two. From what I've read.

I wanted a CZ 556 carbine pretty bad at ine time, mainly because of the open sights. But,now having tri focal lenses iron sights are a blur.

I grew up shooting muzzle loaders with double set triggers. I wish someone would make an aftermarket double set trigger for Winchester model 70s

The only CZ I currently own is in 17hmr (I think it’s a 455). It’s fun to shoot flies with at 50 yards.
