Thought I was done cutting and splitting until next year. But the other day my neighbor called and said they were having a couple ash and 4 black locust taken down. The locusts have been dead standing for quite a few years and two of them tipped over from wind.

The tree crew was there yesterday and got the ash trees and 2 and a half of the locust trees down. They stopped yesterday due to a leg injury from a chainsaw. The ground guy was standing and walked to the ambulance when it got there so not sure how bad the injury was. Hoping for the best for him!

Got this load and another load the same size that I didn’t get a picture of. At least two more full loads if not more coming from the locust that remain standing!

Time to start a new pile for all this once it’s split. Can’t complain about this score falling in my lap!

    Got your back Chvymn99

Nice score indeed. Don't think that we have much or any black locust in our area, but plenty of ash, for now.

Took two more loads from my neighbors house today. That’s all the locust. Plenty of ash there still.

That's some fine looking Black Locust there Mike13 , I know what you mean thinking you were done. I 'm still way behind processing what I have here due to all the rain. And, my friend took an Oak or two down and asked me if I want the wood. Anyone care to guess my reply?:rofl:

Can't go wrong with that black locust nor the ash for that matter.
