Ms. buZZsaw and i went grocery shopping the other night. Five minutes to the store. I spied this on the way there and pull over to check it out on the way home. She wasnt too happy. "The ice cream's gonna melt"!!! I stopped Thursday, knocked on the door to get the okay. Rental house for the nearby university so the young girls who answered the door said take it. Tried beating the rain this afternoon, cut and loaded most of it. 460 made easy work of it. 20" DBH Red maple. What i left. I was cutting then loading, repeating as it was sprinkling when i started. Rain had really started to come down ans i was soaked with rain and sweat! Not as nice as one of my "typical" scores (lots of gnarl, ants and some rot), but five minutes from home and convenient (less than an hour cut and load). Didnt even have a coupon, but couldnt beat the price!
Ye Olde Catalpa leaf had begun to stir heh? nuk nuk. Are there any trees left in your part of the state? Are they trucking in sand yet?
Kinda like when you run a new toy...er, tool past the wife and she doesn't say no, that's permission, right?! Landlord probably came over with his truck/trailer/saws that night and was like WTH?!
Probably didnt even know it was cut. Not sure if it was contracted by owner or town, but way wood was left it was as though tree service was coming back to take it. Same company that did the white oak right around the corner from me. The campus is right up the street and houses in the area area rented to students. Twice last Fall i got Asplundh wood from them. Most of the cars parked have out of state plates. I found this Monday evening and still there today so.
Guessing that's the University where Boomer the Bobcat is? If so, it's where I went to school and where I met Mrs. Skier76. Came to the area in the fall of 1995 and basically never left.
Hard to see if thats the campus from the road. Was that just off I-91 Joe? If so thats the one. Did you get to construct one building and get it named after you?
Most days I think I constructed all of it That’s a full masonry structure,,,,,even that pugly green crap is masonry behind it. Floors are Prefab concrete slabs dropped on top of block. No steel in that one. Off 91 on the Rt 40 connector? You can see it from Rt 40 way on top of the hill. High and COLD. In the winter you can see the Rocky Mountains from there. Ok not really but the wind is straight off the mountains I was everywhere on that project. Last mason on the job. Kids had moved in and I’m still doing punchlist.
Next to Sleeping Giant SP. Thats not the one then. This is the satelite campus that can be seen on 91 South. Few blocks up from Scott's street. Matter of fact the wood was located just across from the end of his street. What year(s) were you working there?
Where the &%$#@ are your priorities Bradley ? You chose pickup wood ( Soft Maple at that ! ) over ICE CREAM ?
