Added 3 ft. of Class A pipe today..
My transition plate was put into a break n all 4 sides were bent 90* s.....drilled 2 holes on each side....welded stainless nuts into place with stainless cap bolts.
Ran a thick bead of high temp locktite adhesive around the top of the terracotta flue n transition plate....
    Think it'll hold ??

That spark arrester looks like something out of Mad Max. :dex:
I'd lose it, and get a more open design. JMHO Sure is shiny.

    On second thought
    :sherlock:

papadave is correct, you should get a more open design one and send that one to me for disposal purposes.

Install looks good. My spark arrestor looks very similar, except mine has screening inside of the slots too.

That crown sealer works great, and looks great too. I sealed mine last fall.

Great looking install! That new SS looks so pretty, make sure you give it a buffing when your up there for your flu cleanings.

Which reminds me, I have to get a new brush for my flue.

Looks great, brother. I don't think you will have any problems with it falling off.

I really think so....too damm warm for a fire yet....besides its screwy here...had a better draft when its warm than when its colder.....i really think its because we are on southern side of our mountain n the wind n pressure plays an effect...but i feel itll be better...leave ya know in time !....had to try it....
