Same here and its at the HD-TSC and Lowes too. These 3 stores near me didn't have pellets during the crunch last season. I suspect they are building so they have enough to ride out the rush?? I know is still early and many might move in September/October. But the amount is about twice what I remember in previous seasons.

How many of these won't sell with oil being so low??

Left about a tons worth of storage so we can pounce if the price drops. The next question is how low will it go this time?? Oil is the lowest its been since like 2009 and pellets were(roughly) <$190/ton. I hope it goes that low or darn close to it!!

Just comes back as TSC. They may be trying to thwart our efforts to only buy a particular re-bagged brand.

This is one of the local TSC stores. Between what you see here and another large pile behind this one, there are about 550 tons. About 90% of it is Genevas and North Americans. The remaining 10% is random pallets of leftovers from last year, a mix of MWP, Ozarks, Nation's Choice, Energex. This is what every HD, Lowes, and TSC in this area looks like right now. Most have a massive supply of GS though.

You're just going to have to trust that they are putting the good quality chit in those bags.

Seriously though, if that's the game they start playing, I won't hesitate to go back to buying strictly Vermonts. Probably should be doing that anyway.

Seems the pellets prices were somewhat relative to heating oil prices through the years. That is till last season and again this coming season..... I must have missed the nightly new when OPEC purchased all the pellets mills last year :loco:

Biggest increase I have seen is at the boxstore's They have raised prices by $30 bucks over last season. One pellet house has stayed right about the same. Another has risen but only slightly. So far the big stacks have only been seen at the boxstores. I haven't seen either pellet house do so. Their stacks look to be roughly the same.

I'm gonna shoot them an email and ask how their sales are going so far and if oil price has hurt them some?

Also haven't seen our buddy LW(Lousyweather ) Maybe he can weigh in on how oil prices have effected sales???

Lowest I ever paid was $188/ton (with 10% off coupon) at HD. I think it was '08?
