Why official? Because why not? Every firewood hoarder knows that 99% of the problems with burning is caused by wood that is too wet. So if you aren't three years ahead and want to try out a moisture meter you are in luck. I have a spare NIB mm waiting for someone that needs one. I will send it to the first person stateside that wants it. Here's the catch -- you can keep it as long as you want. (days, months, years I don't care) But when you are done using it please offer it back up in this thread and send it to the next person who wants it. And of course post pics of it in action It fits in a small flat rate USPS box so it only costs $5 to ship. Anyone else that has one feel free to offer it up. Hopefully someone in Canada has one to offer up as shipping back and forth to the US wouldn't be worth it. Any takers?
I'm curious to know what some of my wood measures but I'm in no need of a meter. That's really cool of you to start the "loan a meter" though.
Very nice thread. I gave mine to JHarkin last year, along with my Timberline. I hope when he is done with them, that he does the same. . Good on you Mike! Great thread. And it's Official!
I have a NIB MS880 with the 59' bar to add to the loaner program for anyone interested. Crap, I just woke up, must have been dreaming. Great idea though with the MM. I'm sure we can think of some other small trinkets to add to the loaner program.
