I was out at the local land fill and found this little hatchet pushed down into the mud from vehicles driving over it. Took it home cleaned it up and put a piece from a old axe handle that was broken and now functioning again. No markings of any kind on it.
Very cool. I can't say that I have ever seen a carpenters hatchet with a rounded head like that before.
Thanks. It is pretty neat to find what some consider junk and restore it. My wife was with me and even she gave me the odd look when I picked it up.
I really like it! Has a very pleasing shape, nice work on the handle! I have received the "Odd Look" many times.
Super cool! It's awesome finding and restoring a part of history! You gave it new life and usefulness! I don't have any "worthwhile" stuff but I have skimmed through this place before. Maybe you can find some more info about it. https://www.farmcollector.com/tools/collecting-axes-antique-hatchets
Yep I already pulled some nails with it to check it out. It actually worked better than I thought it would.
