Howdy, old friends. Expect a new influx, if they don’t get this sorted out soon.

    System upgrade...

Hey Joful. You popped into my head for some reason when I was on the forums. Wondering what you were up too and if you still posted on Hearth.

Stick around, pop in every so often for a thread or two.

    eesh.
an ad or two I can usually just ignore
the political ads grate at me and it doesn't matter from which side of the fence they proselytize - that's my biggest beef with facebook

I'm a hearth transplant. I was on there maybe 8 ish years ago- learned quite a bit, unfortunately I also learned I didn't really care for it. I'm a much bigger fan of this forum.
But I will say, hearth served me fairly well for a while.

Don't feel bad, Hearth brought us all together here and thanks to Scotty and the rest of the admins, we all have a place that is pretty much conflict free and awesome! They all put up cash out of their own pickets to make this site what it is today.

Click the "Swag Shoppe" at ten top of the page. Buy a few things and help defer the cost of maintaining the site.

    And, welome to FHC!

Agree, Agree and Agree again. They would shove some of my comments right up my backside and try to make me out as the village idiot. Then threatened me with excommunication if I didn't tow the line, their line. They also read my PMs and altered them. I lost contact with so many friends when I packed my bags and left there. About that same time, Many others also became fed up and moved on. Was hard to let my friends know I had moved because they censured the PMs and cut out any references to this place. The new mods to this place had to work like heck to clean up our post that had derogatory comments about that old site. I think there was the threat of litigation. The rules about this place being a family oriented place and no politics are the best rules, We can still have fun without bullying.

That is one of the sites I lurked about on when doing stove research.

I joined here because of the positivity of this site and it's members.

Thank you. I don't get out much. I did attend Brian and Dawn's GTG for the past three years. I am not sure if he is planning one for 2020, but if he is, I plan to go. nice place to meet up with folks. So far, each year he has managed to have excellent weather. That is hard to get when you live in the Mountains of NH.
It would be a pleasure to meet you also.
