Fever of 102.4° and I feel like I've been dragged through the woods by a log skidder! First time in many years I didn't get a flu shot and I'm paying for it the hard way! I won't make that stupid mistake again!
It's been non-stop one flu-like virus/cold after another here since Thanksgiving. I usually don't get them but this year seems to be a payback year. Stay hydrated.
Considering they only get the strain right 25% of the time and the way it scrambles your immune system are the shots really worth it?
Have they ever actually gotten the guess for the strain right ? Seems the weather guessers have a much better track record. I don't think it's worth it as right now it doesn't seem to be anything more than a money grab preying on people's fears, but hoping the situation improves.
Same here, and the last time I got sick....not convinced it was the flu.....was almost 13 years ago. One benefit of living in the woods?
Hope you get over this quick Ralphie. It can be nasty stuff. btw, I hope you haven't been drinking any of that Corona beer!
Working in a school, I get the flu shot every year. Even if I get the flu, I am over it in less time than those who don't get it. I hope you get over yours quickly Ralphie Boy
I hear lots of people putting down the flu shots but I get them every year and have for probably 30 years and it has been 30 years or more since I've had the flu. Coincidence? Hum...
way back in the 70's ex baderged me into getting flue shot herself also- both of us promptly came down with very bad flu cases- not had a shot since even with the offspring dragging everything home and my job of on the road service never had a problem until this year, just a week ago. still a bit on short side stamina wise. maybe I am good now for another 20+ years if i'm still around.
