I got this text yesterday from my BIL "Hey you need any wood got to get rid of that wood by my house" He's been clearing land that he bought and now he needs to get rid of it. I've seen the pile and it's pretty big and it's all hardwood! He has a dump trailer I can barrow and I think he can load it with his skidsteer. The only problem is that it's about 100 miles round trip. Of course I'll post pics when I'm done.
texting allows me to check on my manicure and see if I've broken a nail each time I put down the sledge hammer and have to pull off a glove...
well, my weekend just got freed up JS if you need an extra hand just whistle (oh we're back to that) oh just figured out what BIL meant--have a good time getting the wood JS--guess I need to brush up on shorthand LOL
Heck yeah...if my mother in law sent texts like that she could text me to the wee hours of the morning!
Well I made 2 round trips this afternoon. Here's a pic of the pile @ my BIL's. Here's a pic of the first load That's a 7x12 trailer. Here's the load on the ground. I didn't get the pallets in the right place. As we were loading the second load a very strong storm blew in and this happened right in front of my BIL's house. So we got out the saw and cut the tree so we could get it off the car. All of the people in the car were ok! I unloaded the second load but it's too dark for pictures. I have to take my BIL's truck and trailer back in the morning and bring home a load on my truck. I think I'll have around 2 1/2 cord. Between gas and the beer I bought my BIL its gonna cost about $120. That's almost $50 a cord which is high compared to me cutting it off my land but I cant cut 2 1/2 cord in a day. I enjoy keeping busy so I guess it was worth it. I may sell some to offset the cost.
Wow...lots of work done! I'd say it was well worth the cost. Good wood and good memories, including helping out those people in the car.
That's a good-sized loud man, all cut up, nice trailer. Tree on car Were those people moving or parked?
