Yes it's a scam, that picture has been floating around craigslist for a year. Must be profitable for them. I've heard of it all over the country from members here and have personally seen it in OH and FL

You would think they could catch someone repeatedly doing this? Wouldn't you?

What a shame . Back a few or more years ago I was heavy into fixing , restoring , and riding old Honda mini bikes from the early 70's . You guys know the ones...the QA50's....the CT 70's...Z 50's....Etc !! Anyway...I had a beautiful all original lime green QA 50 on Craigslist for sale . It sold fairly quick...cool !! Always in search of new projects.....I always check Craigslist and Ebay . Was perusing Craigslist one day when I saw an ad for a beautiful QA 50 for sale . I click on it...and boom.....theres a pic of my machine....by my parents barn !! So I called the fella and asked a bunch of questions.....one of which was how did you get such nice pics of that bike ? He went on and on about it....until I mentioned that those were my pics from an ad I posted a few months ago . CLICK ! Ad went down in 10 minutes...number no longer available . Makes me wonder what he was scamming....or just too darn lazy to take pics . Its a crap shoot out there fellas..be careful........and thanks for passing on this info .

I had a guy yesterday tell me he wanted to buy my boat and have it shipped to South Dakota. It's a John boat, so I asked him how his scam is working and he didn't even text me back.

Yea seen that one too. Also see that JD tractor for like $6k with the trailer and all implements with like 200hrs on it.

Had folks text me about shipping items to them just give them my paypal id. Something about their busy schedule not being able to "inspect" my item and to box it up and ship it. The item in question was either a set of leather sofas and 2 end tables or an armour that would take 2-3 people to move. Yea right I'm gonna box those up and ship them!!!

We have a guy that I know from work , he is transports cars/bike /campers/... anything with wheels. People contract him to move new purchases to the new owner. Two good stories , One was guy bought a 65 GTO convertiable on the way back the new owner asked how did it run when you were loading it on the trailer? The guy pulled the original motor and trans then shipped it!!:hair: A customer purchased a 69 Camaro, said customer paid top dollar and moldings falling off wood screws holding door panels on . He said the customer was crying when he unloaded .

    There are SCAMMERS everywhere

Pretty sure they're phishing & spamming. After you reply, you start getting solicitations for Viagra and various blue pills. You send something like "I'm interested in your saw for sale". Then don't hear back for days. Then, all of a sudden, your getting offers for free Viagra, anti dribble, flow improving, creams etc.

So what your saying is that most folks that want to buy an 880 might have an "issue" downstairs?

If someone is looking for an 880 wouldnt they have more success spamming them about am soil and various lubricants or something ?

I guess they sell the emails to the spammers?
