I hate to love working on these.
This one was in the bucket and HL Supply had sale slant on this last fall.
Hope it’s a good winter project.

There’s one issue to deal with.
Looks like the fuel line Blue Tape failed, exposing the catheter.

My friend has one of the 029 Super, I ran it for several years. Really liked it. Going to make it the big bore 039? I like our 029 that huskihl did...

I think you will really like it. The Super seemed a good bit stronger than the orginal 029. Are you going to do any port work while you have it down? After Kevin did ours, it will pull the 25" bar. I just run 20" on it though.

    Unlikely
I may tinker with widening the exhaust, but nothing in elevation

The super should be stronger than an typical 029. It has a larger bore. Not a lot bigger, but enough to feel.

Interesting attempt at a fuel line fix there haha.

Widen the ex a little, widen and lower the intake a little, open the muffler, and a healthy timing advance and they’re actually quite a capable saw

8-10. Maybe 12. They’re all different, being molded plastic. Start small and work up

This is my first grind so I’m practicing on the old cylinder with a Dremel and a needle file

Going to try to clean up the exhaust some more. But the grinding is done.
