117 air rifle or a 22lr rifle. keeps squirrels out of the feeder and feeds you too.

Squirrel Buster Plus, we have had ours 4 years. The coons have bent Shepard hook over and feeder ended up on the ground but since then built a stronger pole and we have been very happy with it. [IMG]

I have the same one, it’s expensive but it pays for it’s self with the amount of seed that you save. Squirrels try it from time to time but give up because they can’t defeat it. You can also change the tension to keep grackles and other large birds out if you want to. Mine is at 4 years now and they haven’t gnawed holes in it like what happened to my generic one after a few months.

I copied this pattern for a homemade squirrel proof "pole mounted" bird feeder and had very good results. It is simple, cheap and it works!

Not a good pic out the front window and it is one of these with no limbs above it so all I do is refresh the WD halfway up and they slide back down which is a hoot to watch.:coldone:

For squirrels I like the look of them, probably would work for chipmunks also. But i have to have one that stands up to bears. The one I have is all metal. Got crushed a bit last year but Chaz was able to straighten it.
